Run Effective Meetings

This session on running effective meetings aims to help people to recognise the characteristics of effective meetings, and identify why some meetings are unproductive. It focusses on planning meetings, and understanding the different skills and approaches to controlling meetings to achieve the best outcomes. Updated in 2024, it also includes guidance on running effective virtual meetings.

In particular, by the end of the Power Hour attendees will be able to:

  • Describe the characteristics of effective meetings
  • Plan a meeting and produce a useful agenda
  • Select appropriate tactics for managing meetings
