Deliver On-The-Job Training

Editable training materials to allow you to deiver a bite-sized workshop on on-the-job training skills. The session includes additional optional material to allow you extend this session to 2 hours and 25 minutes.

The pace of change in organisations is constantly increasing, and this is unlikely to change. We all need to be able to adapt, and learn new things quickly from a range of sources. It’s not always possible to wait to attend formal training courses to learn key skills…indeed, formal courses don’t exist for many of the things that people need to do at work.

For some roles (and some processes) however, it is still important that things are done in a set way. For example, if you work in manufacturing, technology or in a ‘process-heavy’ job. In these circumstances, it is part of the manager’s role to deliver on-the-job training and ensure that:

Everyone is doing their job to the best of their ability
There is a standard approach to training people in the team
Skills and processes are continuously improved.

This Power Hour session will provide delegates with a 4-step model that will allow them to deliver on-the-job training with consistency and confidence.

In particular, by the end of the Power Hour they will be able to:

  • Explain why and how people learn
Describe a model for delivering on-the-job training
Explain the skills and procedures involved in each stage of the model.

To get a flavour of the core session, you can download our free Key Points Sheet and view the optional Power Point Slides in PDF format on the next page. Click 'Buy Now' and BEFORE you purchase, you can look at those free of charge. Remember... Much more detail is included in the training session plan and detailed delegate workbook which you get when you purchase.
