This modules contains half a day's worth of material as follows:

Introduction and Objectives
The Challenges of Leading from a distance - Pairs exercise to identify the unique challenges that leading from a distance brings
Would they? - OPTIONAL small group activity to analyse the behaviours of different (successful) distance leaders to identify difference and similarities.
Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda - Group exercise to explore what distance managers can and can't do if they are to be successful.
The skills of managing from a distance - Discussion-based exercises to explore the key skills briefly.
Communication is Key - OPTIONAL section to explore effective communication across distance, including the best use of modern technology.
Building Trust - OPTIONAL pairs exercise and discussion to explore the role of trust and how to build it.
Case Study - OPTIONAL exercise to analyse what a ficticious regional manager is doing well and not so well, and agreeing what he needs to do differently.
Make it Work at Work - Action planning
